It still can be very cold in northern Illinois, so we are starting our garden with some salad greens.
By using a smallish, shallow pot, it will be easy to bring in when the weather gets cold. We are planting a mesclun mix of salad greens.
Starting date, March 21.
Update, April 5, 2009. We have some green showing. It has been cold, so slow growth.
